BIOGRAPHY

下川 朗

千葉県船橋市出身。高校の吹奏楽部でコントラバスに出会う。

桐朋学園大学音楽学部卒業、桐朋オーケストラ・アカデミー修了。

これまでにコントラバスを髙橋洋太、西田直文の両氏に師事。文屋充徳、C.ロタール、A.チルコフ他国内外著名奏者のマスター・クラスを多数受講。

2018 年第 7 回秋吉台音楽コンクール弦楽器部門にて第 1 位、ならびに総合優勝である山口県知事賞を受賞。
2021年第19回東京音楽コンクール弦楽部門にて第３位。

第58回新進演奏家育成プロジェクト〜オーケストラシリーズにおいて札幌交響楽団と共演。

セイジ・オザワ松本フェステ ィバル「子どものためのオペラ」、小澤征爾音楽塾オペラ・プロジェクトXV「カルメン」 に出演。
平成 29 年度桐朋学園大学卒業演奏会、読売新聞社主催第 88 回新人演奏会に出演。

 2020 年 1 月、札幌交響楽団に入団。

オーケストラ奏者としての他にソリストや室内楽奏者 としても活動の場を拡げている。

犬派。将来の夢は牧場主・庭付き戸建てに大型犬の多頭飼い。

Rou Shimokawa
Upon graduating Toho Gakuen School of Music, Shimokawa completed Toho Orchestra Academy. 

He studied double bass under Yota Takahashi and Naofumi Nishida, and has attended masterclasses of Michinori Bunya, C. Rotaru, A. Chirkov among many others. 

Shimokawa was awarded the first prize by the 7th Akiyoshidai Music Competition String Section in 2018 with Yamaguchi Prefecture Governors Award. 

He appeared in “Opera for Children” at Seiji Ozawa Matsumoto Festival and “Carmen” at Seiji Ozawa Music Academy XV, Graduation Concert of Toho Gakuen School of Music in 2017 and the 88th New Comers Concert sponsored by Yomiuri Shimbun. 

In January 2020, he joined the Sapporo Symphony Orchestra and has been actively playing as an orchestra player as well as the soloist and in ensembles.
